On certain days, one barely, feverishly, suspects and intermittently, the spring that would like to make a place for itself. Admittedly, not enough to install our garden furniture on the terrace ... In the meantime, in this period of transition, the veranda is a privileged place to feel outside, inside. It is therefore the ideal place to start, already, to install a spring lounge where it will be good to take your meals. And to ensure a little warmth, even if you fall back into a cold spell, you might as well favor a decoration from somewhere else where the weather is always nice and warm. How about making your veranda from here, a Marrakech riad? For a riad-style veranda: - You will obviously be able to find exotic wood benches and coffee tables (be careful, however, to favor wood labeled FSC or PEFC for wood from sustainably managed forests) with basements in a moucharabieh style, typical of Muslim architecture. You can also opt for pieces of furniture in wrought iron, with their very rounded shapes, very oriental. The table tops in wrought iron will ideally be covered with mosaics with oriental geometric patterns. - You will opt for cushions in shimmering colors, red, yellow, orange and even fuchsia and in addition to the mattresses of the benches and armchairs, you will have cushions on the floor, for a nomadic and friendly effect. - You can decorate your veranda with several sources of soft lights using lanterns and tealight holders wrought iron or openwork metal. You can also have Moroccan pottery such as amphorae or indoor fountains. - Finally, it will be essential to revegetate your space using plants and shrubs pot. But beware, these species that will give an exotic look to your veranda, love the heat, fear most of the frost and too low temperatures. If you don't have a green thumb or really live in the North, prefer artificial plants that can sometimes appear more real than life. Choose species typical of the countries of the South, different kinds of palm trees, lemon trees or olive trees for example. Get inspired!
